Als Neuling war ich natürlich sehr aufgeregt, aber mit meiner Hilfe und der Hilfe meines lieben Mannes Andreas und meiner Freundin und Tierärztin Claudia Körner schenkte meine wunderbare Stammhündin „Loua“ 4 wundervollen Welpen das Leben, 3 rot-weißen Hündinnen und einem tri Rüden ❤️

Wir hatten etwas andere Pläne, aber Noué hat sich entschieden, mit ihrer Läufigkeit sehr spät zu starten, zu spät für den Rüden, den wir eigentlich für sie ausgesucht hatten und so mussten wir unsere Pläne ändern…
Vielen herzlichen Dank an Lise für Ihre kurzfristige Hilfe und für Ihren tollen Rüden „Reno“!
Wir haben eine schöne Zeit in der Normandie in Frankreich verbracht und wir freuen uns jetzt auf die Welpen von „Noué“ und „Reno“, die wir Mitte Januar 2020 erwarten!

Our plans had beed a bit different, but as our little „Noué“ decided to start her season very late, in fact to late for the boy we had choosen, we had to change plans…

We did spend a lovely time in Normandie/France last week and we`re now looking forward to the puppies of Noué & Reno in the middle of january 2020!

„Happy Halloween“
„Youhko“ hat die Rennlizenz !!!
Nachdem „Youhko“ (Ch. Msumari`s Fayouhko) am 20.10.19 auf der Strecke in Mammendorf ihre beiden Sololäufe bestanden hatte, sind wir am Sonntag, 27.10.19 auf die Rennbahn nach Mertingen, um ihre 2 Gruppenläufe zu absolvieren und die Lizenz zu beenden.
„Youhko“ hat mit ihrer Verwandschaft zwei saubere Gruppenläufe gemacht und somit die Rennlizenz bestanden!
Wir waren das erste Mal auf dieser Rennbahn und es wird sicher nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein!
Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team des WF Mertingen für den schönen Nachmittag und die super Organisation !!!

„Youhko“ got her racing licence !!!
After „Youhko“ (Ch. Msumari’s Fayouhko) had passed her two solo runs on 20.10.19 at the track at Mammendorf we went to the track at Mertingen on sunday, 27.10.19 to do her 2 group runs and to finish the license.
She did two clean group runs with her relatives and therefore got now her racing licence!
We‘ve been the first time at this track and it will not be the last time for sure!
Thank you to the whole team of the WF Mertingen for the lovely afternoon and for the super organization!!!
„Noué“ gewinnt das Landessiegerrennen in Mammendorf!
Am 20.10.2019 gab es seit 11 Jahren das erste offizielle Rennen auf unserer Heimrennbahn in Mammendorf!
Beim „Nationales Landessiegerrennen“ waren 5 Basenjis gemeldet!
3 Rüden, unter ihnen „Dayo“ (Ch. Msumaris Dayo Youyaro, im Besitz von P. Keitel) und meine 2 Mädels „Youhli“ (Multi-Ch. Msumaris Bayouhli) und „Noué“ (Multi-Ch. Msumaris Dayo Younoué)
„Dayo“ überraschte uns alle, indem er das erste Rennen mit Vorsprung gewann, gefolgt von seiner Schwester „Noué“!
„Youhli“ mit fast 7 Jahren hatte auch ihren Spaß und wurde Vierte.
370m Grasbahn:
1) „Dayo“, 32,81 Sek
2) „Noué“, 33,16 Sek
4) „Youhli“, 34,26 Sek
Im zweiten Finallauf gab es dann eine weitere Überraschung, denn die kleine „Noué“ gab alles, wechselte mit ihrem Bruder „Dayo“ den Platz und gewann !!!

2) „Dayo“, 33,17 Sek
4) „Youhli“, 34,31 Sek
So ein wunderschöner Tag mit tollen Ergebnissen, perfektem Wetter und das Team des WRV Bayern hat ein super tolles erstes offizielles Rennen auf dieser wunderschönen Strecke in Mammendorf organisiert!
Und wieder mit dem tollen Live-Stream, der es unseren Freunden ermöglichte, uns zuzusehen und zu folgen!
Alle 5 Basenjis hatten viel Spaß, gaben alles und machten zwei fehlerfreie Läufe!
Und nicht zu vergessen die beiden Youngsters „Youhko“ (Ch. Msumari`s Fayouhko) & „Fallouh“ (J-Ch. Msumari’s Fallouh, im Besitz von Angelika Keitel).
Die beiden haben zwei perfekte Solo-Lizenzläufe gemacht, also haben wir endlich ihre Rennlizenzen gestartet!
Vielen Dank an den Verein für die Chance und Marcus Kyris für die Betreuung!
Später am Tag kam noch Peter und Tina (leider sind „Youma“ und „Lany“ läufig und durften nicht laufen) zu uns, um uns zu helfen, und am Nachmittag schloss sich mein Ehemann Andreas mit den Oldies „Minouh“ & „Loua“ an.

„Dayo“ surprised us all winning the first race followed by his sister „Noué“!
„Youhli“ with almost 7 years had fun as well and finished fourth!

And another surprise in the finals, because little „Noué“ gave all, changed place with her brother „Dayo“ and won the race !!!

Such a wonderful day with great results, perfect weather and the team of the WRV Bayern organized a super great first official race at this wonderful track at Mammendorf!

And not to forget the two youngsters „Youhko“ (Ch. Msumari`s Fayouhko) & „Fallouh“ (J-Ch. Msumari’s Fallouh, owned by Angelika Keitel).
They both did two perfect solo license runs today as well, so finally we started their racing licenses!

Ob Hund oder Katze, Goldfisch oder Wellensittich – in fast jedem zweiten Haushalt gehört heute ein Tier zur Familie. Diana Eichhorn erzählt in spannenden Reportagen Geschichten aus der großen Welt der kleinen Tiere, porträtiert ungewöhnliche Haustiere. Ein Thema heute ist: Rasseporträt Basenjis: Diana Eichhorn lernt die etwas zurückhaltenden und überaus eigenständigen Hunde bei Hobbyzüchterin Sabine Nagel am oberbayrischen Ammersee kennen.
Rasseporträt Basenjis: Basenjis werden als Ur- oder Primitivhunde bezeichnet, weil sie sich bis heute sehr viel von der Ursprünglichkeit ihrer Vorfahren erhalten haben. Die Wurzeln dieser seltenen Rasse werden im zentralafrikanischen Kongo vermutet, wo die kleinen, kurzhaarigen Hunde bei der Jagd eingesetzt werden. In der Sprache der Pygmäen heißt ‚Basenji‘ übersetzt so viel wie ‚Das kleine wilde Ding aus dem Busch‘.
Hundkatzemaus Reporterin Diana Eichhorn lernt die etwas zurückhaltenden und überaus eigenständigen Hunde bei Hobbyzüchterin Sabine Nagel am oberbayrischen Ammersee kennen. Sie will herausfinden, welche Auswirkungen diese Ursprünglichkeit auf das Zusammenleben mit dem Menschen hat. Ihr Fazit: ‚Die Erziehung dieser Hunde ist eine extreme Herausforderung. Um Basenjis körperlich und geistig auszulasten, braucht man sehr viel Zeit. Außerdem leben die kleinen Jagdhunde ganz nach dem Motto ‚Basenji first‘, d.h. sie sind sehr eigennützig und extrem freiheitsliebend.‘

Am Sonntag, 29.09.2019 waren wir auf der Rennbahn in Mammendorf und TV München war dort, um über die Bahn und die Hunde eine Reportage zu machen!
Wir hatten als einzigste Rasse ein volles Starterfeld mit 6 Basenjihündinnen, die da waren:
Youma & Lany im Eigentum von Tina & Siegi und meine 4 Mädels Minouh, Youhli, Noué & Youhko!
Das war natürlich ein tolles Bild und die Moderatorin Sophia Dreyer von München TV hat ein spontanes Interview mit mir gemacht!
Es ist ein schöner Bericht geworden, der am 09.10.2019 gesendet wurde und hier und/oder in der Mediathek von München TV angeschaut werden kann!

Jali recognized us and her pack right away, she ws so happy to see us again and the girls accepted her again in the pack!
Wundervoller Tag bei den Vereinsmeisterschaften des WRV Bayern in Mammendorf am 28.07.2019
Was für ein tolles Event, super organisiert, ein tolles Team und es gab sogar einen livestream!
8 Basenjis waren auf der Bahn!
„Loua“ (Ch. Loki`s Iloua) hatte total viel Spaß und durfte eine Länge laufen!
„Tammo“ (Ch. Shahrans Rasberry Ripple, im Eigentum von Alice) hat zwei suoer Trainingsläufe gemacht.
Und 6 Hündinnen aus meiner Msumari`s Zucht waren auf der Bahn!
Es war toll, die 6 Hündinnen alle zusammen im Finallauf zu sehen und die Basenjis waren die einzige Rasse mit einem vollen Starterfeld!
Wir hatten die folgenden Ergebnisse:
1. „Youma“ (Msumarìs Dayo Youma, im Eigentum von Tina & Siegi
2. „Lany“ (Msumari’s Falany, im Eigentum von Tina & Siegi
3. „Noué“ (Ch. Msumari`s Dayo Younoué)

Es war der Tag von den beiden Mädels „Youma“ & „Lany“ von Tina & Siegi, die ein neues Hobby gefunden haben und die sehr viel mit den Mädels auf der Bahn sind, was diese natürlich lieben!!!
Für mich und meine Mädels war es das erste Mal dieses Jahr auf der Rennbahn und sie waren natürlich total untrainiert. Youngster „Youhko“ ist die Startbox auch noch überhaupt nicht gewohnt und sie hatte deshalb Probleme, aus der Box zu kommen.
Aber wir hatten alle trotzdem sehr viel Spaß und es war ein toller Tag!

It was great to see the 6 girls competing all together in the final run and our Basenjis have been the only breed with a full field!

It was the first time for my girls and me at the track this year, so they are all completly untrained and youngster „Youhko“ is not trained at all yet, to get out of the box in time …
But we all had so much fun & it was a great day!

J-Ch. Msumari’s Fayouhko (Multi-Ch. Msumari’s Aza Aminouh X Ch. Kazor’s Make Way For Riley) wurde an allen 3 Shows in der Zwischenklasse der Hündinnen ausgestellt, wird 3x BOS mit V1, 3x CAC, 2x CACIB und hat somit ihren ersten Championtitel mit nur 17 Monaten!
Sie ist der jüngste Msumari`s Champion, den ich hier zuhause in meiner Zucht habe und der erste in der Farbe tricolor!

J-Ch. Msumari’s Fayouhko (Multi-Ch. Msumari’s Aza Aminouh X Ch. Kazor’s Make Way For Riley) was shown in female intermediate classe at all 3 shows at Aarau (CH), won 3x BOS with Exc.1, 3x CAC, 2x CACIB and can call herself now an adult champion with only 17 month!
She is now the youngest Msumari’s Champion I have at home in my kennel and the first tri one!
Wir haben einen neuen Msumari`s Jugend Champion!
„Fallouh“ – Msumari’s Fallouh – (Multi-Ch. Msumari’s Aza Aminouh X Ch. Kazor’s Make Way For Riley), im Eigentum von Angelika Keitel wurde von mir in der Jugendklasse der Rüden auf den 3 Shows in Aarau (CH) am 29. & 30.06.19 ausgestellt, hat 3x Jugend-BOB gewonnen und ist nun neuer Schweizer Jugend Champion!!!
Wegen der heißen Temperaturen haben wir auf den Ehrenring mit Fallouh verzichtet

„Fallouh“ – Msumari’s Fallouh – (Multi-Ch. Msumari’s Aza Aminouh X Ch. Kazor’s Make Way For Riley), owned by Angelika Keitel was shown by myself in male junior class at the 3 shows at Aarau (CH), on 29. & 30.06.19, won 3x Junior-BOB and is now Suisse Junior Champion!!!
Because of the very hot weather we didn’t join the contest in the main ring with Fallouh!
„Dayo“ – J-Ch. Msumari`s Dayo Youyaro (Multi-Ch. Msumari`s Bayouhli X Multi-Ch. Faraoland Point Taken), owned by Peter Keitel was successful in the male open class as well and got 2x Exc.1 & 2x CAC!

„Lany“ (Msumari’s Falany) hat uns auch stolz gemacht …
Sie hat gerade erst ihre Lizenz vor zwei Wochen bekommen, einen wundervollen ersten Lauf in ihrem ersten Rennen absolviert, wurde dabei Dritte, wurde dann aber leider im zweiten Lauf disqualifiziert.
Nach einem sehr verwirrenden Start im zweiten Lauf – sie hatte sich in der Box umgedreht, weil sich der Start so verzögert hat – und kam dann als Letzte raus, holte aber gut auf! Wir wissen nicht, was wirklich passiert ist, auf dem Video konnten wir sehen, dass sie den Kopf mal zur anderen Hündin gedreht hat… egal … die kleine wilde „Lany“ hat uns trotzdem stolz gemacht!

She just finished her licence two weeks ago, did a wonderful first run in her first race, finished third but unfortunately got disqualifed in the second run…
After a very confusing start at the second run – she had turned around in the box because it took so long for the box to open – she came out last but did fine catching up! We don’t know what really happend, on the video we could see, that she had turned her head towards another girl… never mind… the little wild „Lany“ made us proud anyway!

* 04.01.2015Chris und Malou habe die für Basenjis total schwere “Begleithundeprüfung” geschafft!!!
“Malou” ist der erste Msumari`s Basenji der diese tolle Leistung geschafft hat und es gibt kaum einen Basenji der dies je geschafft hat!Chris & “Malou” waren von Anfang an zusammen in der Hundeschule, nachdem sie im Frühjahr 2015 eingezogen ist und zusammen haben sie ein neues Hobby gefunden! Sie haben Obedience Kurse besucht, sowie Unterordnung und Hundesport und im März haben sie zusammen schon eine Unterordnungsprüfung bestanden!Und heute, an einem 2 Grad kalten verregneten Maisonntag haben sie zusammen die Begleithundeprüfung geschafft und können somit nun an offiziellen Wettbewerben wie Agility, Obedience ect teilnehmen!Ich bin sooooo stolz aif die beiden und ich kann mich glücklich schätzen, so tolle Besitzer für meine geliebten Msumari`s Welpen zu haben!
Ganz, ganz herzlichen Glückwunsch an Chris and “Malou”!Um eine Idee zu bekommen, was es heisst diese Prüfung zu bestehen, ein kleiner Auszug zur Begleithundeprüfung:Die Prüfung im Unterordnungsteil erfolgt nach einem festgelegten Schema. Gefordert wird Fußgehen mit und ohne Leine, Durchgehen einer Menschengruppe, Sitzübung und Ablegen in Verbindung mit Herankommen. Eingefügt sind Wendungen, Tempowechsel und Anhalten. Außerdem muss der Hund, während ein anderes Mensch/Hund-Team seinen Unterordnungsteil absolviert, unangeleint in einer Entfernung von 30 Schritt zu seinem Hundeführer abliegen, also eine Ablage unter Ablenkung zeigen. Nach bestandenem Unterordnungsteil wird außerhalb des Hundeplatzes das sichere und freundliche Verhalten des Hunds gegenüber anderen Verkehrsteilnehmern (Radfahrer, Spaziergänger, Jogger etc.) und anderen Hunden überprüft.
Die gesamte Prüfung muss ohne Hilfsmittel wie Leckerlies und Spielzeug zum Locken abgelegt werden!Dies alles mit einem Basenji zu schaffen erfordert eine wahnsinnig tolle Bindung zum Basenji, ganz viel Liebe und unendlich viel Geduld, einen großen Willen und ganz viel Übung!
Eine super tolle Leistung, auf die Chris und „Malou“ extrem stolz sein können!!!

* 04.01.2015Chris and Malou passed successfully the for a Basenji very hard “Begleithundeprüfung” here in Germany.
“Malou” is the first Msumari`s Basenji who ever got this and there are as far as I know a very few Basenjis here in Germany, who ever achieved this.Chris & “Malou” went to the dogschool right from the beginning, when they picked up little Malou in spring 2015 and with “Malou”, the found a new hobby then!
They started to join obedience classes and sports classes and suborder classes, and they already passed a suborder test in march!And now, today, in rainy and cold weather, with about only 2 degrees they passed the compagnion dog exam and they can take part now on competitions like agility, obedience ect.I`m soooo really proud of them and I´m so lucky, to have such great owners of my beloved Msumari`s puppies!
Big, big congrats to Chris and “Malou”!To get an idea, what they have to do:
Begleithundeprüfung – Compagnion dog examThat means:
Walking your dog with and without a leash, going through a group of people.
Sit down & stay exercises and lay down & stay exercises with the owner walking away and coming back are required. Included are turns, tempo changes and stoppings.
In addition, while another human / dog team is completing the exercise, the dog has to lay down and stay there at a distance of 30 paces to his handler, means the dog has to lay down and stay for about 10 minutes with distraction and even when the grass is wet!
After passing this part, the dog/handler team is outside the dog’s court. where the dog’s has to have a secure and friendly behavior towards others like cyclists, walkers, joggers, etc. and towards other dogs!
The whole test has to be done without any treats or toys!To achieve this with a Basenji it need a very deep bonding, a lot of love and patience, a big will and a lot of excercise!
A great merit, Chris and „Malou“ can be extremly proud about!!! ❤️

Ich bin immer etwas beunruhigt, wenn es zur Untersuchung der Hüfte kommt…
Hunde müssen in Narkose, damit man ein gutes Röntgenbild bekommt.
Aber da wir eine HD Untersuchung für eine Zuchtzulassung im Basenji Klub brauchen, müssen wir das untersuchen lassen!
Ich habe eine wunderbare Tierärztin und Noué (Multi-Ch. Msumari`s Dayo Younoué) hat alles gut überstanden!
Und ihre Hüften sehen sehr gut aus!
Aber natürlich müssen wir auf das Ergebnis des Gutachters warten, an den wir alle unsere Röntgenbilder schicken müssen!

I‘m always a bit worried, when it comes to the examination of the hips…
Dogs need to be sedated completly to get a good x-ray!
But as we need it for our breeding permission of the German Basenji Club, we all have to do it, if we want to breed with our dogs!
My vet is very good in this and Noué (Multi-Ch. Msumari’s Dayo Younoué) is fine again!
And her hips look very good!
But of course we have to wait now for the result of the expert, to whom we all have to send our x-rays!
